I don't know the common or scientific name for the plant. I do know what the Aboriginals call it though.

Current species:
Acromantis sp. IGM 181, Caliris elegans, Creobroter sp. IGM 174, Deroplatys desiccata, Deroplatys lobata IGM 186, Deroplatys trigonodera, Deroplatys truncata, Gongylus gongylodes, Hestiasula brunneriana, Hierodula sp., Hymenopus coronatus IGM 187, Odontomantis sp. IGM 188, Phyllocrania paradoxa, Statilia sp. IGM 189, Theopropus elegans IGM 175, Toxodera beieri

Thanks, Bunga Bakol seems to be a collective for many things but i can't find the plant described anywhere. I was just curious..

Yeah the problem is, the Aboriginal language is close to the Malay language but still varies quite a lot. For the Malays, Bunga Bakol is something else entirely. If you do a google search on Bunga Bakol, you'll most probably get the Malay version.

agree with that, since the aboriginal people has their own language that are not in written form, once something is forgotten, words will be taken from another language to replace...they might call that plant as bunga bakol, but for another group of tribes from another location might call it something else

Thanks for that and very interesting. I found a few plants similar to your picture Sufistic but not close enough to be the same one. If you do find out i would be very interested to know.
