the male mated again yesterday and then i found him dead (not eaten) on the floor of the enclosure :'(

he had a good run and did his duty i guess. just have to make sure all the ooths are good now to thank him.

edit: one thing that was strange, his entire left eye went an opaque red, anybody heard of this>?

Can I ask if your female has laid yet?
I'm waiting for mine to lay at the moment and they are about 10 weeks old and were mated just over 3 weeks ago.
Thanks
Ben

Well good luck with all yours guys, desiccata never rush apart from when hungry lol
I have multi-mated my female 5 times now with 3 different males and still no ootheca in the last 3 weeks since first mating!!
She's not overly huge in the abdomen department and always up for a bit of roach stalking but im sort of expecting an ooth soon
