Default The Praying mantids by Wells, Wells, Prete and Hurd

Costly book but i still take it to the bathroom with me regularly.
Very informative if a little over my head some times lol
Some colour pictures and Pen drawings with lots of graphs and charts.
Still well worth recommending to beginners and experienced keepers alike imo

I have this. I think it will take me years to read it all. Lots of mantis research findings. I read about the adult ages of males and females at death which had some great bar charts showing the trends. Great stuff. Sometimes I think agghh lots of data about wings but at other times I might be interested in lots of data about wings. Pricey but there are some cheaper copies about. I had mine shipped from america.

Yes, you have to get this book if you don’t have it (and you've got to read it too). Excellent peer reviewed resource with comments on the early classification and studies of the group. Everyone will learn something from this book! Shame it’s out of print, just go to get it when you see it (perhaps $110 when it was new was a bit too steep to appeal to enough enthusiasts/scholars at the time!)

I've just bought it. lol.

£20 inc postage from the US. Seemed a pretty good deal judging by some of the prices I have seen!

That's a steal. Didn't realise it was out of print, think I got mine for 30-40.
