I guess it's not just trading ooths and breeders. I occasionally have a series of fertile ooths from a mantid but am not in a position to take on more by trade and am not in a position to be a breeder.
I would be happy to give an ooth from the series to a breeder to keep the species going. In fact that is now my future intention if my current matings are succesful.
